On April 8, HNUST officially signed an inter-university cooperation agreement with Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation(APU) in Malaysia.

Tang Yayang, Secretary of the Party Committee of HNUST, represented the university and welcomed the arrival of He Zhenguang, President of APUand his delegation. In the welcome ceremony, Tang introduced the HNUST's history, faculty organization, and international exchange activities. Tang noted that HNUST and APU had a strong cooperative foundation and expressed enthusiasm for further collaboration between the two institutions.
