On the evening of September 18th, with hundreds of lighted drones animating the sky, a fascinating drone show was designed by Hunan University of Science and Technology (HNUST).
The drones danced in the space above the playground, hovering and zipping to create a series of animations, including “Hainiu” (“manatee”) the self-developed deep-sea drilling rig and Professor Wan Buyan, its very inventor, as well as HNUST’s iconic architectures, the Confucian Temple and the libraries. Besides, the blessings and messages were sent to the freshmen admitted in 2023.
Excited cheers and applause filled the campus.
The drone show was also one of the activities to mark the 20th anniversary of the naming of HNUST.
Twenty years ago, HNUST was established following the strategic merge of Xiangtan Engineering College and Xiangtan Normal College.
