On March 28th, Elsevier released the 2022 Highly Cited Chinese Researchers list. Professor Zhao Yanlin and Dr. Ahmad Najid of HNUST were on the list for the disciplines of mining engineering and political science respectively.
Covering 84 primary disciplines under 10 academic fields formulated by the Ministry of Education of China, the 2022 list includes 5216 scholars from 504 colleges, universities, enterprises and research institutions. Utilizing Scopus, a citation and index database developed by Elsevier, and adopting a method developed by Shanghai Ranking Consultancy, the list employs multi-dimensional analysis to identify Chinese scholars at different stages of their research careers and systematically show their academic achievements.
