On the afternoon of June 2nd, the report meeting on "Sharing and Exchange" in "Teaching Inspection Week" was held in Lide Building. Liu Deshun, Party Secretary of HNUST, President Zhu Chuanqu and other school leaders were present. The deputy deans in charge of teaching in Xiaoxiang College and other schools, and young-teacher representatives attended the meeting which was presided over by Zhou Zhihua, Director of Academic Administration.
After the report meeting, Liu Deshun shared three views. First, teachers should give full play to the educational role of ideological and political curriculum,and innovation and entrepreneurship, which are not only essential for talent training but important in teachers' daily work. Second, teachers should keep improving their teaching ability by innovating teaching ideas and methods, and constantly refining teaching wisdom through practice. Third, teachers should take teaching as their first duty. He hopes that every teacher can always maintain the pursuit and love towards their career, and become a teacher with personal charm.
He Jiazhen, National Entrepreneurship Trainer and Teacher of Recruitment and Employment Office, clarified the importance and necessity of innovation and entrepreneurship education. He stood for building a new pattern of innovation and entrepreneurship education with HNUST as the leader, schools the mainstay, institutions the main line and the local government the main promoter. He also stated that for better merging the innovation and entrepreneurship education into the process of talent training as well as improving the talent training quality, we should coordinate all resources and clarify targets and functional division.
On the issue of how to make the educational courses play their role, Zeng Jiansong, Deputy Dean of School of Foreign Studies, shared her practical experience of school ideological and political education curriculum. She illustrated how the school carried out the education in teaching and research, and how to establish students’ national awareness through foreign culture teaching. She also reflected on the way of ideological and political education based on the relationship between teaching and educating people, hoping that all teachers could well combine their specialized courses with ideological and political education as to put them into full function.
