On October 29th, HNUST 70th anniversary promotional film The First Dream made its debut on the HNUST WeChat official account, and then it was released on Sina Weibo, Hunan Today, iQIYI and some other media platforms. The film evoked excitement among teachers, students, alumni and society, winning likes and reposts on WeChat and QQ.
Netizens flocked to make comments on the official account. As a result, the film has been watched for nearly 50,000 times and shared 531 times in less than a day. Named The First Dream, the film showcases the history of HNUST, the campus scale, talent cultivation, scientific research, staff member and the like within ten minutes, fully interpreting HNUSTers’ studious and enterprising spirit.
Yuan Xingjie, Vice Dean of the School of Humanities, thought that the human-centered connotation in the film not only enlivens the whole film, but also highlights HNUST’s educational philosophy.
Zhong Xingu, a national model teacher, was deeply touched by the film, saying that it has demonstrated the accomplishments and development of HNUST, especially in the fields of education and teaching where HNUST has cultivated numerous talents and established the educational system for undergraduates, masters and doctoral students.
“Xiangtan is my second hometown and HNUST is my base, a place where I settle down and get on with my pursuit”, recalled Wu Guangping, a national excellent teacher. He noted that the film has briefed the 70-year accomplishments of HNUST. And he is proud of being one of the members who have made contributions to the development of the school.
“I am proud of being a HNUSTer, and I am also very looking forward to the 70th anniversary celebration”, Hong Sijin smiled, a freshman from the School of Physics and Electronics. She said that she was lucky to witness the celebration. HNUST embarks on a new journey. The same is true with her. She hopes that she can take her study seriously and actively take part in activities, so as to improve her comprehensive and professional ability, and strive to be an excellent HNUSTer to forge ahead with the school.
