HNUST is located in Xiangtan, where several great people were born on this distinctive land, such as the founder of the People’s Republic of China Mao Zedong, one of the ten founding marshals of the People’s Republic of China Peng Dehuai, two generals Chen Geng and Tan Zheng, and the global cultural figure Qi Baishi. HNUST has consistently inherited the “red gene” and has put the original aspiration into practice.
