On the evening of December 19th， the New Year's Gala of HNUST took place in the Li Jinhui Concert Hall. HNUSTers gathered together to welcome the New Year.
The diverse variety show featured over 10 well-chosen programs, including dancing, singing and magic shows. All these performances conveyed the timeless message that HNUST remains youthful even after bearing its name for 20 years.
The group dance "Meng Wa Nao Xin Chun (Lovely Kids Celebrating the New Year Actively)" captivated the audience with its portrayal of children's innocence and vibrant energy. The group dance "HaiNiu: Chasing a Dream in the Abyssal Sea" depicted the story of Wan Buyan's perseverance in the field of marine exploration through interpretive dance. Additionally, the pop dance and fancy rope skipping showcased the youthful vigour of the HNUSTers.
The ballroom dance "The Journey on the Silk Road", the rap "Qi Lin" and the classical dance "Yi Shui Xian Ge" showcased the glamour of traditional Chinese Culture.
The sketch, traditional opera, wind ensemble and choral performances were all splendid, demonstrating the rich artistic heritage of HNUST. The magic performances captured the audience's attention, and the interactive game allowed the audience to piece together the puzzle of the HNUST badge.
Subsequently, the school leaders performed a style show "HNUST with You", which featured a catwalk show, Tai Chi and singing.
In the end, all the school leaders and Wan Buyan, honored as a "Role Model of the Times", extended their good wishes to faculty and alumni.
