The 2024 Training Program for Young Teachers Has Concluded


On April 29th, the Completion Ceremony for the 2024 Young Teachers Training Program was held at HNUST. Jiang Lizhong, President and Party Secretary of HNUST, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. Guo Shiyin, Member of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of HNUST, presided over the ceremony.

Jiang Lizhong encouraged young teachers to uphold their academic ideals and transform the achievements of their research and training into practical educational results. He emphasized that HNUST will continue to optimize its mechanisms for faculty development and build a platform to support the professional growth of young educators.

The training program started on December 28th, 2024, with the participation of 168 newly recruited teachers. The training content centered on key policy documents, including "Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Carrying Forward the Spirit of Educators to strengthen the Construction of High-Quality Professional Teachers in the New Era. The training emphasized core themes such as professional ethics, such as the morality, mission, research development for young teachers. It aimed to foster the cultivation of teachers’ professional ethics and conduct, promote the adoption of innovative teaching methodologies, and enhance research capabilities through diversified forms such as special lectures. Distinguished experts and scholars including Academicians Bai Chunli, Bai Lianyang, and Fu Zhimin were specially invited to give on-site lectures.

Guo Shiyin pointed out that the conclusion of the training program marked the beginning of the independent professional for young teachers. Young teachers should embrace the concept of lifelong learning, act as pioneers, promoters, and practitioners of educational reform and innovation, Guo also called on young educators to actively engage with the era of artificial intelligence, in order to better contribute to the construction of the "Double First-Class" initiative of HNUST.
