HNUST Postgraduate Student Won the First Prize in National Chinese Classics Reading Contest

On May 29th, Su Shu, a postgraduate student from the School of Arts of HNUST, won the first prize in the National Chinese Classics Reading Contest for College Students in 2018. Her work Written for My Mother stood out from almost 900 entries of over 300 universities and colleges. Besides, Zhou Ling, Huang Hua, and Zhang Ya, three teachers of HNUST won the title of Excellent Advisor.

HNUST attaches great importance to this contest, creating a pleasant environment to read classics. Before the contest, the Chinese Classic Reading Contest organized by HNUST had been successfully held, selecting two outstanding works out of 44 entries from 22 schools. After careful evaluation, two improved works were sent to the organizer, the Library Society of China.

This contest is designed to carry forward Chinese fine traditional culture and further promote the spiritual civilization of universities and colleges. It is reported that the awards ceremony will be held at the 3rd Reading and Promotion Summit Forum for College Students in Nanjing in November 2018.
