Over the past three months, athletes of School of Physical Education of Hunan University of Science and Technology (HNUST) have made great achievements in several national competitions, including the National Women's Weightlifting Championship, the National Shooting Tournament and the National Rowing Tournament.

In November 2022, the National Women's Weightlifting Championship was held in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu. Yan Mingzhu, the weightlifter of HNUST won herself the silver in the women’s 55-kg weightlifting category with a total weight of 212 kilograms.

In the same month, Liu Ying and Jiao Siyu, our schoolmate athletes, also shot to prominence by winning the fourth place in the Women’s Double Sculls, and in the Quadruple Sculls, Liu and Jiao also won themselves the fourth place in the National Rowing Tournament held in Lishui, Zhejiang, together with Zhang Peibing and Ni Shilin, another two partners.

And three months ago, in August, the National Shooting Tournament was held in Nanjing, Jiangsu. Liu Yuxuan, Wang Ziyu and Lei Jing, the three-people group, won the runner-up in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Women.

No pain, no gain. The achievements of every single athlete of HNUST are definitely nowhere to be seen without the guidance of the teachers and coaches of School of Physical Education. In addition, but for their daily training and grounds in physical exercise, they could not have paved the way to success. We sincerely wish all our schoolmate athletes to forge ahead bravely.
