Hunan University of Science and Technology (HNUST) held the symposium for comprehensive reform, on all-round education in three dimensions on the afternoon of October 21st. Tang Yayang, Secretary of the Party Committee, Liu Youjin, Vice Secretary, and Xie Hui, Vice President of HNUST, attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Liu, and the participants also included the persons in charge of the relevant functional departments and the exemplary staff of the education reform.
At the meeting, Tang recognized the contributions made by the exemplary staff for the school, remarking that everybody had completed the work in a down-to-earth manner and the great efforts were obvious to all. He also offered five suggestions for the staff. Firstly, the initiative must be considered of vital importance, and all the staff are required to possess self-motivation and be a trailblazer in their own fields. Secondly, the sense of responsibility and the spirit of dedication, for all the members are rendered marvelous tasks. Thirdly, creativity is also indispensable, and members should break with conventions and find new approaches to the destination. Then comes the ability to see the big picture. Staff are asked to analyze in view of the overall situation and adopt proper ways and pace. Last but not least, the staff should always keep it in mind that they are endowed with the title of ‘exemplary’, the model, and the pioneer as well. The original intention of being a good educator, setting example for other Party members and teachers should never be changed, but evergreen and everlasting.
Liu also hoped all the staff cherished the glory, the reward after hard work and never disgraced themselves. And the duties of the role model in education should never be forgotten easily to propel the ascending of HNUST. President Xie extended her congratulations to the exemplary staff, adding that the core value of the meeting should be kept in mind and made full use of in the following periods.
The active speech made by the exemplary staff produced a lively atmosphere for the meeting. Confidence and determination of perfecting the education and being the well-round example were also exhibited, for the sake of HNUST’s future.
