Oil Painting to Celebrate 70th Anniversary of HNUST

On Oct. 29th, the unveiling ceremony of The Knowledge Pursuit of Teenage Mao Zedong, an oil painting created by a famous oil painter Wang Beinan as a gift for the 70th anniversary of the founding of the PRC and his alma mater HNUST, was held in the Lide building. President Zhu Chuanqu and Vice President Hu Shiqi unveiled the painting.
When it came to his creative inspiration, Wang said that since he was very young, his parents have taught him that Chairman Mao was such a saviour who led the Communist Party to establish the PRC. With his deep reverence for Chairman Mao, Wang completed the painting within three months. Taking this opportunity, he wishes the motherland and HNUST greater prosperity.
In the end, Vice President expressed his gratitude to Wang Beinan's support for the development and construction of HNUST, and he believed that all teachers and students will remain true to their original aspiration and work together to promote a higher level of comprehensive university with distinctive features in the spirit of studying hard like Chairman Mao in his youth.
