On the afternoon of April 23rd, the cooperation agreement signing ceremony was held in Lide Building. HNUST officially started school-enterprise strategic cooperation with Hunan Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd (CHCEG) and “College to Undergraduate” cooperation with Hunan Urban Construction College (HNUCC). Cao Jiongfang, Secretary of Xiangtan Municipal Committee, Ye Xinping, Chairman of Hunan Construction Engineering Group, Liu Deshun, Secretary of the Party Committee of HNUST, and Zhu Chuanqu, President of HNUST attended the meeting, which was presided over by Hu Shiqi, Vice President of HNUST.

Secretary Cao highly affirmed our contribution to the Industry-University-Research Collaboration. He pointed out that “the strong union” between HNUST and CHCEG would play an important role in local economy and social development, and sincerely hoped that we could take it as an opportunity to be the benchmark for School-Enterprise Cooperation in the strategy of innovation-led opening up and development. Chairman Ye thought cooperation of this kind is an inherent requirement for their scientific development under the new situation. He expressed his expectation to create a win-win situation by co-establishing teaching and scientific innovation bases and so forth.

Liu Deshun said that in recent years, HNUST has consolidated its traditional advantages, cultivated emerging characteristic specialties, and continually improved the capability for scientific research and innovation and the quality of talents cultivation, which all made great contributions to the major national strategies and Hunan’s strategy of innovation-led opening up and development. HNUST has achieved the long-term friendly cooperation with CHCEG and shared the same mission with HNUCC. He firmly believes that all three parties should further make full use of their advantages, promote the organic connection among various fields, achieve fruitful results in improving the quality and efficiency of enterprises and cultivating innovative talents, and make more contributions to the construction of a New Hunan.

Zhu Xiangjun briefly introduced the profile of the school and hoped that this cooperation could improve the level of education, promote the construction of the platform, advance the development of the school in the service industry, and also cultivate more high-quality talents for the local economic construction and social development.

HNUST will join hands with CHCEG to unswervingly promote the deep integrated development of the Industry-University-Research Collaboration, which is a complicated task that requires joint efforts. HNUST will constantly provide sophisticated talents for endowing the enterprise’s technological innovation with more possibilities. In the meanwhile, CHCEG will become the industry leader with the aid of universities.
