On November 27th, HNUST (Hunan University of Science and Technology) held a seminar on the accreditation of higher education for international students in China. Wang Jin, a member of the Party Committee and Vice-principal of HNUST, chaired the conference.
Wang emphasized that the accreditation of higher education quality for international students in China is of crucial significance for the overall development of the university. It is not only an important means to enhance the management level and cultivation quality of international students in China but also a major opportunity to promote the "Double First-Class" construction and the internationalization of School operation. During the evaluation and construction work, it is necessary to focus on the core elements that affect the education, teaching, and quality assurance of international students in China and earnestly implement the concept of "promoting construction, reform, and strengthening through evaluation" in all aspects. At the same time, it is required to adhere to the problem-oriented principle, formulate targeted rectification plans, and ensure the effective implementation of the rectification work.
The relevant person in charge of the International Exchange Department gave a detailed interpretation of the document spirit of the accreditation of higher education quality for international students in China, made specific arrangements for related work, and put forward various requirements for the accreditation work. The functional departments actively carried out exchanges and discussions around the accreditation work, laying a good foundation for the smooth progress of the subsequent accreditation work.
