Together with Tang, the students of the affiliated school planted a Yu Lan Magnolia on the slope with their sincere wishes.

In his address, Tang proposed that the tree planting which, showed the determination of building a beautiful campus, was actually responding to the nations’ call for “Green mountains are gold mountains”. In his opinion, like how people deal with relationships between individuals and the society, the tree planting shares an alike order principle, and maintaining the mankind-nature knit are equally important when compared with other connections.

Fang Xinhua, a member of the Changsha Tianchuang Property Management Company, said that it was her seventh time attending the tree planting. She sees the campus as her own home and treats the students as her children. Fang practices what she preaches year after year, hoping more and more students could join the group to build up a pretty campus.

“Tree planting makes a greenish campus, and if we plant more trees, our globe would be more beautiful,” said Chao Lang, a student from Class 1801 of the affiliated school, and he also appealed to the public to protect the environment with caring the plants around us as an easy start.

With full implementation of the philosophy of the “Green Mountains”, HNUST encourages the students to join the activity of tree planting and enhance their eco-concept, contributing to the construction of a green homeland.
