On January 16th, the annual Working Conference of HNUST was held in the Academic Exchange Center. Chairman Tian Yinhua, President Liu Deshun, Vice President Zhu Chuanqu, etc. attended the meeting.

　　The meeting summarized the work in 2013 and made an overall arrangement for the new year.

　　At the conference, Chairman Tian Yinhua made a speech and proposed three requirements for the new year: First, to study the reforming spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee; Second, to understand the spirit of comprehensive reforms in educational system; Third, to promote the comprehensive reforms of HNUST’s management system.

　　President Liu Deshun made a general arrangement for the various work of HNUST in 2014. He remarked that the university should develop as a comprehensive university with distinct characteristics and high standards in teaching and research.

　　Vice President Zhu Chuanqu made a speech and called on all departments and their members to work together and follow the arrangement and make new achievements for the school’s scientific development.

　　The conference also outlined the university’s focuses in 2014 and made various requirements for relevant departments.
