In order to carry out the spirit of “the state science and technology awarding meeting”, deeply implement the strategy of innovation leading the rise of opening-up, and honor those units as well as scientific and technological workers who made outstanding contributions, Hunan Scientific and Technological Innovation Awarding Ceremony was held in Changsha on June 10th. The project led by Long Sichun, a professor of HNUST, won the first prize of Scientific and Technological Progress Award. Du Jiahao, Secretary of CPC Hunan Provincial Committee awarded representatives at the meeting. Xu Dazhe, Deputy Secretary of CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Hunan Governor, delivered a speech.
As the first unit to complete the project, HNUST had 14 achievements that won 2019 Hunan Science and Technology Awards, including the Provincial Scientific and Technological Progress Award, the Provincial Natural Science Award and the Provincial Technological Invention Award. The awards that HNUST won have reached a record high in number and level, ranking among the top of provincial universities and covering more extensive disciplines.
