On March 20th, the 2021 spring supply-demand meeting was held at the Yuehu Square. This meeting was held both online and offline with 489 enterprises coming to HNUST to recruit employees. Besides, the graduates can send their resumes to 386 online recruiting units on the Employment Official Account. Zhu Chuanqu and Hu Shiqi, respectively the principal and vice-principal of HNUST, had an in-depth conversation with many persons in charge of enterprises so as to learn the demand of enterprises today and the employment situation of students.
Xie Jie, a senior student from the School of Physics and Electronic Science was one of the earliest students who finished his interview. He said : “Graduates couldn’t take part in the on-site interview last year because of the Covid-19, which brought great restrictions. Compared with those restrictions, there are more chances to grasp this year.”
Not only were the graduates struggling for their future, but the relevant colleges set service offices and sign-in desks in order to offer graduates help.
Wang Si, the HRBP (Human Resource Business Partner) of Beijing Yuanli International education co., Ltd, showed that decision in employment was mainly made according to the students’ communication and expression skills as well as their logical thinking ability. When it comes to the students of HNUST, Wang gave his unstinted appreciation.
The supply-demand meeting for graduates was organized by the Recruitment and Employment Department, aiming to make it convenient for employing units and graduates to make mutual selections. To broaden the employment market for graduates and better convey the fresh troops of talents, HNUST held the “government-university-enterprise” communication forum in room 417 in the Lide Building on the morning of March 20th, with representatives of various units invited. Those who attended the forum included the director and vice-director of the Recruitment and Employment Department- respectively Jiang Liping and Li Youqiao, the Deputy Secretary of the CPC and college counsellors from the School of Mechanical Engineering, the School of Information and Electronic Engineering, the School of Business as well as those from Xiaoxiang College. In the forum, various departments of human resources and social security gave a brief introduction to the fundamental state and employment needs of their own districts. At the end of the forum, the three sides had a free communication and the government and HNUST signed the Talents Strategic Employment Cooperation Agreement, making joint efforts to build a larger employment stage for graduates.
By far, there has already been 2261 employment units being welcomed to HNUST, 867 information sessions being held for graduates (among which 795 were on-site meetings, 61 online onesand 11 double choose wills) and over 180 thousand positions being provided.
It is reported that the information sessions of high-quality units are proceeding vigorously. On April 10th, HNUST will hold special sessions with normal students as the target.
