On the morning of Mar.26th, 300,000 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Nucleic Acid Diagnostic Kits (RT-PCR test kits), on chartered planes dispatched by foreign governments, left Changsha for Europe to help fight against the COVID-19 outbreak.
With the spread of overseas’ outbreak, Sansure Biotech has received emergency procurement demands for test kits from many countries and regions recently. By far, the Novel Coronavirus Nucleic Acid Diagnostic Kits from Sansure Biotech has been provided to the “frontlines” in more than 50 countries and regions around the world. Deng Zhongling, deputy general manager of Sansure Biotech and alumni of HNUST, has shouldered the responsibility of scientific and technological work, and the products developed by his team have made a big difference in the pandemic prevention and control.
For the last few days, Sansure Biotech has been working overtime to produce the relevant reagents. At present, the company has donated more than 32-million-yuan worth of emergency supplies all over the world. Among them, over 20 million yuan were donated to Hubei, Hunan and other provinces. 5000 test kitswere donated overseas through Red Cross Society of China, and batches of test kits were donated to the countries in Africa, the Middle East and Europe.
According to the Philippine Department of Health (DOH), the initial 2000 BGI RT-PCRtest kits and the 100,000 Sansure RT-PCR test kits which have so far been supplied for the Philippines by the Chinese government are of excellent quality and perfectly in accordance with the international standards set by the World Health Organization (WHO). The kits have been put into use, playing an important role in the Philippine government’s quick response to the outbreak.
