The 11th Hunan University Games Sports Science Conference, sponsored by the Hunan Provincial Education Department, was held in Hunan University of Technology which involved over 300 participants from the universities in Hunan. The delegation of HNUST gave excellent performances, winning 2 first prizes, 4 second prizes and 11 third prizes. In addition, HNUST was awarded the first prize in university group.
Zhou Ying, a student from HNUST, delivered a report on the main venue of the conference, which was highly praised by the experts and scholars. And Wan Yong and Zhao Jinguo, teachers of the School of Physical Education, made special reports on the breakout venue. The other conferees also participated actively in the academic communication.
The session of Sports Science Conference was the first stop of the 11th Hunan University Games. The prize-winning papers were scored according to the levels and were added to the group aggregate. Thus, HNUST mobilized students and teachers to participate in the competition by handing in high quality papers in order to achieve good results. At present, HNUST has got 72 points in the scientific papers report council, which is a good beginning for the 11th Hunan University Games.
