Recently, the finals of the 16th National Mathematics Competition for College Students concluded successfully in Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province. The 2025 year's competition, organized by the Chinese Mathematical Society and hosted by Zhejiang Normal University (ZNU), attracted mathematical elites from various universities across the country. Sun Xiang and Tan Jingyu, both from Mathematics Class 1, Grade 2023 in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at our university, won the second and third prizes, respectively, in the lower-division category of Mathematics.
Since its inception in 2009, the National Mathematics Competition for College Students has been committed to stimulating college students' enthusiasm for mathematics learning, promote reform and innovation in university mathematics curricula, enhance the quality of foundational mathematics education, and provide a critical platform for identifying innovative mathematical talent. The competition has grown to become the most influential and widely participated mathematics competition in China.
