Recently, HNUST harvested 18 prizes in the 11th National Advertising Art Design Competition for College Students, including 3 first prizes by the School of Humanities and Xiaoxiang College, the first time that HNUST has won such an honor.
The students majoring advertising pocketed the first prizes after 10 months of preparations and competitions, showing that HNUST always values such competitions and encourages students to participate in them and present excellent works as their graduation ad design, which reflected teachers’ excellent teaching in advertising department.
Chen Zixian, a student from the School of Humanities, as well as the first-prize winner of the design competition, had experienced 20days of intensivetraining before ultimately receiving the award. All her great efforts paid off finally.
The National Advertising Art Design Competition for College Students has been held 12 times from 2005 to 2019, with "teaching promotion, wisdom enlightenment, ability improvement and quality enhancement" as its principles according to the official website. It also makes contributions to improve college students' creativity and collaboration, and it has enjoyed great popularity among national colleges and universities.
There were over 400 thousand compositions selected, but only 8 were awarded the first prizes. The compositions have achieved great improvement in terms of both quantity and quality than those in previous years, which pushes forward the work of strengthening students' integrity and cooperation, deepening the new mechanism of collaborative education, and promoting the level of discipline competitions.
