A delegation of Krirk University (KRU), Thailand, led by Mrs. ChooprayoonDarunee, Director of International College, and Mrs. TreechaiWrtafPatcharavadee, Dean of School of Business Administration at the university, paid a visit to HNUST on the morning of October 22th. A meeting on cooperation and exchanges between the two universities was held in the Meeting Room 208 of International Education Building, chaired by Zhang Ruihong, Director of the International Affairs Office.
During the meeting, Mrs. TreechaiWrtafPatcharavadee gave a brief introduction to KRU. As the earliest private university, KRU provides international curriculum covering courses taught in Chinese approved by the Ministry of Education of Thailand, and has signed agreement mutually recognizing higher-education degrees with China. KRU offers three degrees, Bachelor, Master and Doctor, with six major colleges and dozens of multilingual courses, covering popular majors, such as Business Administration, etc. She said that KRU has been keeping friendly relations and close cooperation with China. So, she hoped to expand cooperation between KRU and HNUST through this trip.
According to Mrs.ChooprayoonDarunee, Dr. Krasae Chananwongse, President of KRU, attaches great importance to the cooperation with Chinese universities. The meeting will be a new starting point for both sides to harness new opportunities in cooperation.
Zhang Ruihong, on behalf of HNUST, extended her warm welcome to the delegation and then briefly introduced the university from the aspects of disciplines, faculty, international exchanges, etc. She noted that HNUST welcomes students from KRU to exchange and apply for the programs leading to master, or doctor degree. The head of the Physical Education Institute was eager to sign the cooperation agreement and launched the exchanging programs for students and teachers, so as to strengthen the faculty of both universities and expand the international vision of students.
After the meeting, representatives from both sides exchanged gifts and took photos. It is reported that the school-level cooperation agreement between the two sides would be signed soon so the follow-up work in terms of specific cooperative items could be carried out timely.
