The 4th Hunan Province College Students’ “Internet Plus” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition came to an end on August 30th. Entries of HNUST won 2 gold, 5 silver and 9 bronze medals. Moreover, HUNST was honored the Outstanding Organization Award in two tracks, achieving the best result in history and ranking the top among the universities in Hunan Province.
In the competition, HNUST selected 22 provincial entries, two of which were awarded gold medals. One is from the School of Computer Science and Engineering and the other is from the School of Materials Science and Engineering. Furthermore, He Jiazhen and Ou Baoli were presented the award Excellent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Mentor.
The competition was co-sponsored by 11 departments including Department of Education of Hunan Province and Department of Organization of Hunan Province Committee. HNUST attached great importance to the competition and established a leading group led by President Li Bochao to mobilize students to participate in it.
It is reported that teams awarded gold medals will join the training camp of Department of Education of Hunan Province, which are expected to achieve greater results in finals.
