Three Works displayed at China’s 2015 Guanlan International Print Biennial Exhibition


    
    The Art Institute produced three winners at the 2015 Guanlan International Print Biennial Exhibition in Shenzhen. Teacher Wen Mujiang’s print work, Shell No.1, student Long Kai’s copperplate etching, Four Playing the Bird, and graduate student Wang Enchao’s Nature and Humanity, the Red Sea were selected. It is the fourth time Wen Mujiang’s work has been selected at the exhibition.

    This year, the Guanlan International Print Biennial Exhibition received 4,034 print works from a total of 2,168 print artists from more than 80 countries. 268 works were chosen for display by 17 highly respected foreign print artists and art critics through two rounds of strict selection. 11 print works placed as winners from among the 100 Chinese print works selected from in the 268 presented on display in the exhibition.

    China’s Guanlan International Print Biennial Exhibition is co-sponsored by the Chinese Artists Association, the Shenzhen Federation of Literature and Art, the Shenzhen Longhua New District Management Committee, and the Shenzhen Baoan District People's Government, which is an important part of the Shenzhen ICCIE which is considered the most influential print biennial exhibition in China. This is the fifth time the exhibition has been held since 2007.
