Born in Lianyuan, Hunan Province in 1965, Professor Wang Weijun, male, is a Ph.D., and Ph.D. supervisor. He is honored “New Century 121 Talent Project”, and currently is Party Committee Member and Vice President of HNUST.  

The research interests of Professor Wang covers rock mechanics and roadway surrounding rock control. He has presided over 1 key project and 3 general projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 National Program on Key Basic Research Project (973 Program)and over 50 provincial projects. He has also been awarded 12 invention patent authorizations and over 30 new-typed utility patent authorizations. Besides, he has published more than 120 papers in domestic and international journals.
