HNUST Holds 2026 Student Affairs Conference

On the morning of March 26, Hunan University of Science and Technology (HNUST) convened the 2026 Student Affairs Conference. The event reviewed the work accomplished in 2025, honored outstanding individuals and collectives, and outlined key tasks for the forthcoming stage. Zhao Qiancheng and Yu Weijian, members of the University Party Committee and Vice Presidents, attended the meeting and delivered speeches.

The conference noted that the student affairs work in 2025 yielded fruitful results, successfully fulfilling the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education while steadfastly safeguarding the bottom line of campus safety. For the following year, the conference emphasized that the University must adapt to emerging trends, upholding integrity while pioneering innovation, and enhance quality and effectiveness in advancing both routine responsibilities and featured initiatives. Meanwhile, student affairs faculty were urged to elevate their political standing and enforce stricter accountability. To further support the University’s comprehensive development, efforts will be made to leverage high-quality alumni relations by promoting the “Return to Hunan” initiative, launching the “One College, One Brand” campaign, mobilizing alumni resources, and optimizing outreach and service.
