HNUST Supports Students in Need with Winter Coats for 31 Years

On the morning of December 19th, HNUST held the 31st "Warm Winter Coat Donation Program" ceremony, distributing winter coats to 590 students with a total financial support of 119,040 yuan. Zhao Qiancheng, member of the Party Committee and Vice President of HNUST, attended the ceremony. Jiang Liping, director of the Student Affairs Office, presided over the ceremony.

Zhao presented the coats to students, encouraging them to stay determined and self-reliant, and to pass on the warmth and compassion they have received. He emphasized that HNUST will continue to improve its financial aid and educational support systems, ensuring that all students can pursue their studies in a healthy and supportive environment.

The "Warm Winter Coat Donation Program" has been carried out for 31 consecutive years, serving as a key component of HNUST's comprehensive financial aid system, which includes scholarships, student loans, grants, work-study programs, living allowances, and tuition waivers. To date, the program has supported over 14,000 students and distributed more than 3 million yuan in subsidies.
