President of HNUST Attends 2025 National Sports University Leadership Conference and Delivers Speech
From December 11th to 12th, the 2025 National Conference of Party Secretaries and Presidents of Sports Universities was held at the Capital University of Physical Education and Sports. Yin Shuangfeng, President of Hunan University of Science and Technology (HNUST), attended the conference and delivered a keynote speech. The conference brought together leaders from sports universities, related higher education institutions, and research institutes across China. Among the key participants were Tong Lixin, Vice Minister of the General Administration of Sport of China, and Chen Zhiyu, Director of the Department of Science and Education.
The conference called for full implementation of the guiding principles of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and stressed the need to leverage sprot to better serve elite competition, mass fitness, and the sports industry. It called for the coordinated development of education, technology, and talent, in order to deepen comprehensive reform in sports education and provide strong talent and scientific support for building China into a leading sports nation. Participants reviewed achievements made during the 14th Five-Year Plan period and discussed future development strategies.
President Yin Shuangfeng delivered a speech titled "Integration and Innovation, Cultivating Talent through Sports, Strengthening the Nation by Enhancing Fitness-Explorations and Reflections on Sports Education Reform in a Local Comprehensive University." He shared the university's practical experiences and strategic insights in advancing sports education in line with national and Hunan provincial development goals.
The conference, hosted by the Science and Education Department of the General Administration of Sport of China and organized by CUPES, served as a crucial platform for exchange and collaboration among China's sports-oriented institutions.
