HNUST Holds a Discussion with China Unicom Hunan Branch to Advance University-Enterprise Cooperation

On the morning of March 11, Hunan University of Science and Technology (HNUST) held a meeting in Lide Building to exchange ideas and further promote university-enterprise cooperation with China United Network Communications Group Company Limited (China Unicom) Hunan Branch.

Jiang Lizhong, Secretary of the CPC Committee of HNUST, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Zhou Zhi, Party Committee Secretary and General Manager of China Unicom Hunan Branch, along with Liu Jianxun, Vice President of HNUST, were present.

On behalf of HNUST, Jiang Lizhong extended a warm welcome to Zhou Zhi and his delegation, and briefly introduced the university's educational characteristics, academic strengths, and talent cultivation efforts.

He noted that China Unicom and HNUST had already laid a solid foundation for cooperation and expressed the hope that both sides could further strengthen  exchanges. He emphasized deepening collaboration in areas such as talent cultivation, artificial intelligence, scientific research and innovation, and smart campus construction, identifying key areas of focus to achieve mutual benefit  and win-win development.

Zhou Zhi noted that, as a leading enterprise in the information and communications industry, China Unicom is committed to becoming a pioneer in advancing high-level technological self-reliance and strength, building national strategic scientific and technological capabilities, and developing new quality productive forces. He emphasized that enterprise development relies on strong talent support and research assistance from universities.

Zhou expressed his expectation to establish long-term and stable cooperation with HNUST, to contribute to the development of the local digital economy and the modernization of education.

During the meeting, both sides discussed specific matters including smart campus construction, joint talent cultivation, the establishment of internship and training bases, and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.
