Vice General Manager of Hunan Data Industry Group Leads Delegation to HNUST for Exchanges

On the morning of April 9, Liao Zhengxiang, Vice General Manager of Hunan Data Industry Group Co., Ltd., and Deputy Secretary-General of Hunan Data Element Association, led a delegation to Hunan University of Science and Technology (HNUST) for exchange and cooperation talks. The visit aimed to discuss and promote the construction of Hunan Data College. Yin Fengyu, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of HNUST, attended and chaired the symposium. Also present were heads of the Human Resources Department, the Alumni Affairs and Domestic Cooperation Office, the Informatization Office, the School of Information and Electrical Engineering, and the School of Computer Science and Engineering, attended the symposium.

At the symposium, Yin Fengyu introduced HNUST’s background and academic strengths. He noted that the joint efforts of the university and the enterprise to advance the development of  Hunan Data College and promote collaborative education hold profound practical significance. Moving forward, HNUST will further concentrate on cultivating data-related talents and accelerating the transformation of science and research achievements, thereby providing enterprises with high-quality professionals in the data field, and supporting Hunan Province’s initiative to become digitally advanced province.

Liao Zhengxiang introduced Hunan Data Industry Group and Hunan Data Element Association, focusing specifically on the blueprint and vision for the construction and development of Hunan Data College. He expressed his hope that through university-enterprise cooperation, both sides would work together to build a platform for deep integration of industry, academia, and research, promote the application of scientific achievements, and establish a closed-loop talent training model featuring “classroom teaching, workplace training and project-based practice”

It is reported that Hunan Data College will place talent cultivation at its core mission and take industry-education integration as its foundation. It will further optimize its operational mechanism and support systems, striving to build a nationally influential training platform for the data sector. The college is expected to provide strong talent and intellectual support for the development of comprehensive pilot zones for data element innovation in Hunan Province, contributing to the high-quality growth of the digital economy.
