HNUST Approved as Hunan Province's "Practical Training Base for Outstanding Engineers in Intelligent Control"
Recently, the Hunan Provincial Department of Education and the Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology jointly announced the list of the second batch of approved training base for outstanding engineers in Hunan Province. Among the newly approved bases is the "Practical Training Base for Outstanding Engineers in Intelligent Control," jointly established by the School of Information and Electrical Engineering at HNUST and three industry partners: Weisheng Energy Technology Co., Ltd, Hunan Geely Automobile Components Co., Ltd, and Xiangtan Hongda Vacuum Technology Co., Ltd. This marks a significant breakthrough for HNUST in the cultivation of outstanding engineers in the field of intelligent control, strengthening industry-education integration, and contributing to local industrial development.
The base focuses on key national strategic needs such as intelligent manufacturing, intelligent control, and intelligent systems. It aligns with Hunan Province's "Three Highlands and Four New Missions" strategy, and contributes to the development of a national advanced manufacturing hub. Relying on HNUST's strong foundation in Control Science and Engineering, with support from related disciplines such as Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science and Technology, the base integrates the resource advantages of three leading industry partners. It primarily serves three core majors: Electrical Engineering and Automation, Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation, and Computer Science and Technology.
Guided by the core philosophy of "University-Enterprise Collaboration, Resource Sharing, and Complementary Advantages," the base constructs a trinity collaborative education system of "University-led, Enterprise-participated, and Industry-supported" cooperation. This model forms a comprehensive training pathway that integrates theoretical instruction, enterprise practice, and scientific research innovation.
The base also actively responds to the national initiatives for "Emerging Engineering Education" construction, driven by cutting-edge technologies such as intelligent manufacturing, industrial internet, and artificial intelligence, to build an interdisciplinary "Intelligent+" innovation practice platform.
Aligned with Hunan's "Three Highlands and Four New Missions" strategy and closely addressing the needs of intelligent transformation in the manufacturing sector, the base builds a closed-loop ecological chain of "Technology Research and Development - Talent Cultivation - Industrial Service," and is dedicated to cultivating high-caliber, practice-oriented engineers in the field of intelligent control with both innovative thinking and hands-on capabilities.
