HNUST Student wins the first prize in the 12th Hunan Translation Contest for Postgraduates
Recently, the 12th Hunan Translation Contest for Postgraduates came to a successful conclusion. Postgraduate students from HNUST took 1 first prize, 3 second prizes and 2 third prizes in total. Among them, Zou Yanyu won the first prize in the written translation contest, Zhou Yun ranked among the top ten in the interpreting contest, setting a new record for HNUST's best performance in the interpreting contest.
Hosted by the Department of Education of Hunan Province, the contest attracted more than 170 postgraduate participants from 19 universities across Hunan Province. It was divided into two categories—written translation contest and interpreting contest, aiming to assess participants' foreign language proficiency, translation practical competence and international communication capabilities comprehensively.
In recent years, HNUST has continuously deepened reforms in the training model for postgraduate students, with a focus on strengthening the cultivation of their professional practical abilities and innovative capacities. We encourage and support postgraduate students to hone their skills and demonstrate their talents on a broader platform.
