Professor Lu Yi of HNUST Nominated for 2025 "Youth Scientist for a Strong Nation" Award

Recently, the results of the 2025 "Youth Scientist of a Strong Nation" awards, organized by China Youth Daily, were announced. Professor Lu Yi from the School of Resources, Environment and Safety Engineering at Hunan University of Science and Technology (HNUST) has been honored with a nomination.
The award aims to identify outstanding young scientists and technologists aged 40 and under across the country, highlighting their significant contributions to basic research, applied scientific research, and the transformation of research outcomes. This year, a total of 11 "Youth Scientists of a Strong Nation" and 39 nominees for the award were selected nationwide. Professor Lu Yi’s nomination is not only a high recognition of his personal scientific achievements but also demonstrates HNUST’s commitment to promoting the spirit of Chinese scientists and its dedication to contributing to the construction of Chinese path to modernization. It brings youthful energy to China’s push for sci-tech self-reliance and self-strengthening, reflecting the drive of a new generation of innovators.
