President Yin Shuangfeng has overall administrative responsibility and oversees auditing functions within the organization. He directly supervises the Auditing Office and works closely with the School of Mechanical Engineering, the School of Business and the National & Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for Marine Mineral Resources Exploration Equipment and Safety Technology (a key university-level research platform).


Yin Shuangfeng (born in February 1973) is a Chinese professor and doctoral supervisor. A native of Shaodong, Hunan Province, he holds a PhD and began his professional career in May 2004. He is currently a National Deputy to the 14th National People's Congress and serves as the Vice Chairperson of the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party. Academically, he holds the rank of Full Professor (Level II).


He previously served as Vice Dean of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Hunan University; then as Acting Vice Dean and subsequently Dean of the Office of Scientific R & D at the university. During his tenure there, he took up a secondment post as Assistant to the Director of the Hunan Provincial Department of Science and Technology from May to December 2012. From March 2023 to December 2025, he was Vice President of Central South University of Forestry and Technology. In November 2025, he began a secondment term as Deputy Head of Pinggu District, Beijing, and has served as President of Hunan University of Science and Technology since December 2025.


His research focuses on novel catalytic materials, innovative catalytic processes, and advanced separation technologies. Selected for China’s National High-Level Talents Special Support Program (Ten Thousand Talents Program), he has secured and led prestigious grants including the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, National Key R&D Programs, and key projects under the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has authored over 300 high-impact papers in journals such as Nature Communications, J. Am. Chem. Soc., and AIChE J., and holds more than 100 patents, with several technologies licensed for commercial application.


His distinguished honors span research, education, and academic leadership. Notable among these are the First Prize of the Hunan Natural Science Award, the National Teaching Achievement Award (Second Class), and the Hou Debang Youth Award for Chemical Science and Technology (CIESC). He has also received the Youth Award for Outstanding Contribution to Science and Technology from the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation and the Youth Award for Homogeneous Catalysis from the Catalysis Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society. In addition, he has been recognized as the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Supervisor of Hunan Province and is a recipient of the province’s Outstanding Cadre Award for Responsibility and Initiative.
