Guo Shiyin / Member of the University Party Committee, Secretary of the University Commission for Discipline Inspection
Professor Guo leads the work of the Commission for Discipline Inspection. He is responsible for disciplinary inspection, supervision, inspection, and oversight. He oversees the Commission for Discipline Inspection, the Office of the Supervision Commissioner of the Provincial Supervision Commission stationed at HNUST, and the Inspection Work Office, and liaises with the School of Life Sciences, the School of Education, and the School of Teacher Education.
Guo Shiyin, male, was born in August 1975 in Changning, Hunan Province. He is a member of the Communist Party of China. He holds a doctoral degree, and is a professor and and doctoral supervisor. In 1998, he graduated from Hunan Agricultural University with a bachelor's degree in Engineering in Food Science and Engineering. In 2005, he earned a master's degree in Engineering in Food Science from Hunan Agricultural University. In 2009, he received his doctoral degree in Public Health and Preventive Medicine from Central South University. From November 2006 to January 2007, he was a visiting scholar at the Japan Taiyo Chemical Research Institute. In 2015, he completed postdoctoral research in Public Health and Preventive Medicine at the National Institute for Nutrition and Health, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention. He has previously served in a number of leadership roles at Hunan Agricultural University, including Deputy Director of the Reform and Development Office, Director of the Reform and Development Office, Executive Vice Dean of the Graduate School, Director of the Discipline Construction Office, Director of the Personnel Department, Director of the Party Committee Teacher Work Department, and Director of the Party Committee Talent Office at Hunan Agricultural University. Since April 2021, he has served as a member of the Party Committee of HNUST, Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection at HNUST Inspection, and Supervision Commissioner of the Provincial Supervision Commission stationed at the university.
He currently serves as Deputy Director of the Education Research Subcommittee of the National Expert Committee on Science Education for Primary and Secondary Schools, and as a member of the Hunan Provincial Teaching Guidance Committee for Agriculture, Forestry, and Food Science Programs in Regular Undergraduate Institutions. He has previously held positions including Vice Chairman of the Hunan Nutrition Society, Executive Director of the China Student Nutrition and Health Promotion Association, Director of the Hunan Provincial Engineering Technology Center for Rapeseed Oil Nutrition, Health, and Deep Development, and Deputy Director of the Hunan Provincial Research Center for Rural Adolescent and Child Health Promotion. He is primarily engaged in teaching and scientific research in the fields of food nutrition, nutrition for special populations, and food hygiene. To date, he has published over 130 academic papers, including more than 50 as first author or corresponding author, and has led or participated in more than 20 research projects and has received four provincial or provincial or ministerial-level awards for teaching and research. He has authored two monographs. During his training at the Ministry of Education, he served as one of the key drafters involved in formulating a series of national policy documents for the implementation of the rural compulsory education nutrition improvement plan.
