Students of HNUST Win Third Prize in International IOT Innovation Competition


The National Final of China (Chongqing) International IOT Innovation Competition 2021 came to an end on September 24th. Over 100 competitors, composed of experts, business elites as well as teachers and students from colleges and universities at home and abroad, participated in the competition. Under the guidance of supervisors, AIOT Science and Technology Innovation Team finally won the third prize.

This competition, with the theme of “Mark everything to connect intelligently. Perceive the world and create the future”, is one of the significant events of Smart China Expo 2021. It aims to discover intelligent scene works for the public, like IOT, AI, 5G, etc. Since it began on June 11th, this event has attracted over 4000 competitors nationwide and has received up to 382 works from different fields like intelligent factories, resources, agriculture, etc. 50 excellent works, among which 20 were from colleges and universities, were selected after the preliminary. The AIOT Science and Technology Innovation Team from School of Computer Science and Engineering in HNUST eventually won the bronze medal in the final.

This competition was held by the organizing committee of Smart China Expo, organized by Chongqing Education Committee and co-organized by the Academy of Industrial Internet in Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications. It was a grand meeting in the field of IOT and a vivid practice of the deep integration of “Government-Industry-University-Research -Application”.
