HNUST Youngsters Labour with Pleasure

President Xi sent sincere greetings to the young people across the country ahead of China’s Youth Day. During the extended winter holiday, HNUST youngsters have carried forward the labour spirit and have led the trend of labour by actively doing housework and farm work.
Wang Kexin, a junior from School of Literature said, “Though the weather seemed fine, the cold wind that day actually made me shiver. Seeing several tractors operating on the vast rice field, at one moment, I really felt that I conquered this field.”
Jiang Jiarun, a sophomore from School of Information and Electrical Engineering said, “With my gown on, I feel like I’m the most charming boy here and weeding is just a piece of cake. We should have a sense of ritual even in weeding and always be satisfied with our life.”
Wang Ziyun, a freshman from School of Literature shared her experience, “This year is another bumper year. I should help my family to do more farm work I can when stuck at home due to the pandemic.”
Liu Zhixian, a freshman from School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of HNUST said, “It’s better to pick mushrooms with especially black heads, because they are of high nutritional value. Since their pilei are fragile, we must pay attention when picking. And the roots of mushrooms are hollow...... I’m the mushroom picker!”
Ma Yanxin, a freshman from School of Humanities said, “There are just 300 sweet potato seedlings to plant.  Who cares! Today’s work is not painstaking at all. Just kidding. Actually, I lay down on the sofa as soon as I got home.”
Meng Yanan, a freshman from School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering said, “let me show you my fruits of labor. These white fat silkworms are so cute, aren’t they? I’m so satisfied to see them eat upmulberry leaves every day.”
Youngsters of HNUST make the flower of youth bloom in the fields through their hard work.
