HNUST Enters the Sixth National Youth Art Exhibition



 
 
Recently, the 6th National Fine Art Exhibition for Youth Artists has ended its second round of selection. The oil painting “Ji Yi Shen Chu (The Back of Mind)” by Tang Liang, a young teacher from the School of Arts of HNUST, has been chosen and has won the direct entrance to the 13th National Exhibition of Fine Arts.
 
When 12,030 works of art around the country heading for the exhibition, 836 entries stood out for their excellence in representing the style and features of young artists in the new era of Socialism. But, in the second round, only 389 of them have been selected for the exhibition. And 46, in the end, have been selected for the 13th National Exhibition of Fine Arts, among which Tang’s work, topped the list of ten oil painting works, is the only one from Hunan Province.
 
The 6th National Fine Art Exhibition for Youth Artists, co-sponsored by All China Youth Federation,China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and China Artists Association, is a comprehensive and professional exhibition of national level, covering various species of painting: Chinese painting, oil painting, water color painting, lacquer painting, etc. The National Fine Art Exhibition for Youth Artists, held for five years in a row, is a top exhibition of significant influence. As a platform for young artists to display their talents, the contest concentrates on the artistic characteristics of the youth and advocates the diversity of artistic innovation, aiming to take on the national spirit and the spirit of the times, and present the new development and the new characteristics of contemporary Chinese art.
