HNUST Students Won First Prizes in the Second Round of the Solve for Tomorrow Contest








 
 
On Dec. 10th, on the theme of energy conservation, environmental protection and health, the second round(Changsha Division) of the 2017 Solve for Tomorrow Contest, the National Youth Contest of Innovative Experiment & Work in Science Popularization, was held smoothly at Hunan Science and Technology Museum. During the contest, two teams of HNUST got the qualification for the national final as well as won the Outstanding Organization Award for their excellent performances. The two teams are the “Brick Carrier Team” from the School of Civil Engineering, consisting of Yi Wenyu, Chi Wanjie and Cai Dingwang, and “Intelligence Light Team” from the School of Physics and Electronic Science, made up of Li Chong and He Sifan. They won the first prizes respectively in college group of future travel and proposition group of future education. On behalf of the Changsha Division, both of the teams, along with other three teams that won the first prizes in Changsha Division, are going to reach the national final.
 
According to the report, this contest was sponsored by the Science Popularization Department of China Association for Science and Technology and the School Department of the Communist Youth League Central Committee, and organized by the Science Popularization Department of Hunan Association for Science and Technology and Hunan Science and Technology Museum. Moreover, the final will be held at China Science and Technology Museum in late December.
