One-on-one Chinese Tutoring for International Students

On October 30th, the 2nd One-on-one Tutoring Program for international students of HNUST was launched in Liyan Building. Freshmen of International Education College could study with the help of newly-selected teaching assistants.

Wang Chen, a new assistant head teacher for international students, told the instructor Luo Meichan that this tutoring program was carried out smoothly in a harmonious atmosphere and even some international students studied without break.

For better management, the time and place are fixed on Tuesday and Friday afternoons and in two classrooms of Liyan Building. Compared with the case of last year, the standardization of tutoring time and location, as well as the recording of the process and content of tutoring in the class by group leaders and assistant head teachers, is conducive to improving the tutoring results.

It is reported that the One-on-one Chinese Tutoring Program for international students is a one-year internship program signed by the School of Foreign Studies and the International Education College, with an aim of helping international students adapt to their study in China and pass HSK Band 4 in their second semester. By the end of October 16th, all international students have completed their enrollment, and the One-on-one Tutoring Program for international students has also started as scheduled.
