Recently, Editorial Office of HNUST Journals was informed that the Journal of Hunan University of Science and Technology (Social Sciences Edition, hereafter “JHNUSTSC”) was re-edited in the Comprehensive Core Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences of 2020 A Guide to the Core Journal of China (the 9th Edition), and the Journal of Hunan University of Science and Technology (Natural Sciences Edition, hereafter “JHNUSTNS”) was re-edited in the Comprehensive Core Journal of Science, Engineering, Agronomy and Medicine of it. The continuous selection of JHNUSTNS and JHNUSTSC has showed the deep academic influence and development trend of the HNUST journals.
Developed and published by Peking University Library and reviewed every three years, A Guide to the Core Journal of China, a comprehensive evaluation of the academic quality and academic influence of national journals, is widely recognized by academia. With the combination of quantification and qualification evaluation, the 2020 edition (namely the 9th edition) carried out statistics and analysis on related-journals based on the principles and methods of bibliometrics, and invited more than 10,000 experts to review the core journals. On this basis, 1990 core journals were selected from those being published in China.
Editorial Office of HNUST Journals has always adhered to the right direction of public opinion to improve the journal’s qualities in content, editing, publication form and publication printing, so the academic influence and social reputation of the publication have been continuously enhanced. Besides the re-entry into A Guide to the Core Journal of China, JHNUSTSC, as a CSSCI source journal, is one of the Core Journals of Chinese Humanities and Social Sciences and the Chinese University Outstanding S&C Journals; JHNUSTNS is one of the Chinese S&T Papers and Citations and the Chinese University Outstanding S&T Journals.
